On the criterion of the dominancy of a mode of production over another mode of production:
Paul defines it by the criterion of how much large scale it occupies.
Chai-on tries to do it by the criterion of subsumption process.
Even if simple commodity production is demographically in large scale (as in most undeveloped countries in the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s), it is irreversibly subsumed under the capitalist mode. Then, the latter must be the dominant.
Electronic industry is more dominant than food industry since more and more surplus values produced in the latter are appropriated by the former. Maybe next period, the surplus value might be appropriated in anotherway, then the dominant industry is >
