I do not know a great deal about Stalin's national policies. I know that
he supressed some groups, but he left spaces for others to operate
independently -- or am I wrong in that regard. This is not a question
for OPE, but I do wonder what societies have been able to successfully
tolerate linguistic and cultural diversity.
