Even thought his post didn't have a lot to do with commodity money, I was
glad to see that Mike W brought the subject line for this thread back from
the grave (the archives, I guess). It was an excellent thread in which
many contributed and I still have the feeling that there is some room for
further discussion and agreements and informed disagreements.
As an aside, Mike W says in [OPE-L:2759]:

I would be interested in knowing your reasoning for thinking that the
abolition of scarcity is plausible.
