More red herrings. *Of course* Marx didn't believe the working day could
equal 24 hours, or that necessary labor could be 0. I strongly doubt that
anyone ever needed to be convinced of these things. I certainly did not.
At issue is NOT, and at issue has NEVER been, what Marx BELIEVED to be true.
What IS and HAS been at issue is what he ASSUMED.
There's a huge difference. I have no trouble assuming perfect competition and
deducing from it that a firm faces a perfectly elastic demand curve. That
does not mean I "believe" pure competition exists, or could exist.
