Jerry, in 3179, you question using the simple models
in our discussions. I think all would agree that
the concepts you mention are important. They may
even be necessary to include in order to move
forward. Yet what we see on this simple level is
some disagreement. We may agree to disagree as
we push forward, we may see that the restrictive
nature of the assumptions prevent any type of
resolution of the matter, we may see ....
Here I think we need to allow the discussion
itself to proceed and within it find the need
for including other sectors, fixed capital,
moral depreciation, etc. Right now we are in
the process of agreeing to a set of simple
assumptions.
