OVERALL, September marked the *transition* from the Summer doldrums to the
trade winds of Fall. Like the trade winds, though, it was uneven in terms
of velocity during different parts of the month. As anticipated, both
posts/month and the monthly participation rate increased significantly
in September. What new threads will the winds of October bring?
