Simon: "Does anyone mind if I let a beginning PhD student of mine, who wants
to work on the rate of profit, study the IVA, TSS, Value Added debates that
are currently underway?"

I certainly have no objection in principle, since I concur with Alan's view
that the archives of ope-l should be made public. I would suggest, however,
that the e-mail debate may not be the best point of entry into the controversy
for a *beginner*, because so much past work (especially Marx, Bortkiewicz,
Okishio, Roemer, and published "new approach" and TSS writings) is
presupposed.

I'd be interested in reading this student's thoughts on the issues and happy
to answer any questions s/he may have. E-mail is best for me
(Andrew_Kliman@msn.com).
