I assume you mean labor-saving above (although I could give a number of
examples of capital-saving technologies).

However, I'm not the one at this point who is required to give empirical
evidence since: (a) I already explained why the *one* example that you did
give (the mailing industry) can be viewed as unusual. You have not offered
any evidence against that claim on my part; and (b) you made the claim
in #3269 that more examples should be forthcoming even though
Michael P, Paul C, and now myself have offered examples. Yet, where are
the other examples in support of your claim regarding the frequency of
capital-saving innovations as against labor-saving innovations? Since you
are the one who made this claim, you should be the one to offer more
substantial empirical evidence.
