Dear Allin: Could you be more precise?
If you are referring to the "two sources/causes" issue, as
far as I know the literature, I think it is "virgin land".
Of course, my knowledge of the literature is limited.
If you are referring to the more general "single-
system" issue, I think you know the main references:
Roberts (1981), Wolff, Roberts and Callari (1982), Carchedi
(1984), Kliman & McGlone (1988), Carchedi (1991), Chai-on
Lee (1993), Moseley (1993), Freeman (1995), most of the
contributions in Freeman & Carchedi (1996).
