For what it is worth, since I have been on this list I have found that
Jerry's moderation, while perhaps a little over cautious for my taste, has
helped to keep dialogue flowing. Ajit's tone here and in many of his
previous posts has been conducive to the generation of much more heat than
light. Of course polemics are fun, but when directed at people rather than
arguments or issues they become an unpleasant waste of emotional energy.
Please can we agree to accept Jerry's moderation, *or* collectively ask him
to consider stepping down, *or* individually resign from the list.
This is just my personal view. I do not wish to spend anymore energy
discussing it with anyone.
