The abstract value-form point is that Value is constituted (including
quantitatively) only in the unity of production and exchange. Riccardo's
account how, nevertheless, at the macro level production is still logically
prior is attractive and persuasive, but I ma still thinking on it.
At any rate, Jerry's question does not seem relevant. A number can go
neither up nor down until it has been determined ... .
