The issue of whether cats are a force of production or 'bear'ers of
social relations has long been a source of controversy within the
working class movement. This issue, however, need no longer detain
us. Despite the completely opportunistic charges of Stalinism and
economism, and infantile leftist ravings about "reification,"
this matter was resolved definitively by that landmark of scientific
socialism, "101 Uses for a Dead Cat." Not sparing the tender
sensibilities of Comrades Emily and Le'on, may I suggest we move on
to resolving once and for all the national question.
