The end of this post contains an itemisation of income and expenditure, in
the form of a set of accounting identities, showing how the purchase of
unproductive labour may unambiguously be allocated to revenue, should we
wish to do so. This is therefore a *possible* enterprise, and no
contradiction arises from it; whether we *choose* to do so is a distinct
question.
