Ajit, Not only have they not caught the murderer, the police don't report
a lot evidence either (mainly the bullet itself, not even the shell). A
very professional assassination.
His widow has been very strong (and furiously angry); even saying that she
would still want him to be the OB-GYN he was (including access to
abortion) even if she had known the future. Letters in yesterday's
paper were a great testimonial (except from a few pro-lifers). One
pointed out the Dr. Slepian sent her friend flowers after her successful
delivery, while her pro-life doctor did not nothing after her full-term
birth child died after 2 1/2 hours of life.
Dr. Slepian had the only clinic in Buffalo which included OB-GYN services,
including abortion, to poor. If any of you could fax the clinic at
716-835-2654 your support, and/or a statement to the Slepian family, it
would be great. They are trying to find another doctor for the clinic
(out-of-towner doctors have volunteered for the time being).
