Since no one has actually said that we shouldn't sponsor a journal, why
can't we go ahead with at least the preparatory work needed to publish a
journal? (E.g. a site has to be selected, a format chosen, guidelines
have to be suggested, etc.)
My suggestion is that a sub-committee be formed of all those who are
willing to *work* on putting the journal together and that, where and
when appropriate, they report back to us (OPE-L) on how they are doing.
I.e. why can't we agree in principle on having a journal, but discuss
later any proposals re journal structure by the sub-committee?
