Thank you to all the people that came out this weekend and raced! I hope everyone had a great time. The volunteers were great and I can't thank them enough! We had a few new teams out there this weekend, I ran into one new racer the next day while cleaning the course who decided to go hike Moore's Knob again, to really get the view! The OFFICIAL results will be out sometime tomorrow. There has been some re-ordering, and I'm just making note of the TA splits before they go online.
Thanks again! Keep racing!

Hey all! We have 23 teams and counting, only three more days left before registration is cut off! If you are planning on mailing in your registration, please let us know by email so that we know how many shirts and maps to order.
If you registered by mail, and didn't include your t-shirt size, please email us as well with that information!
Hope everyone is well trained and looking forward to a great 12 hours in the woods!

First Captain's Communication

We're up to 14 teams now! registration keep rolling in, and we're going to have some good competition for all those teams that come out. The first captain's communication will be coming out this weekend, but for a little info for those looking, group camping is now free for the racers! The host campground, Moore's Spring Campground, has offered us a good deal and we're going to roll the cost of camping into your registration fees. TO NOTE: There IS NOT potable water at the campground (you can treat the creeks) nor showers. The closest campground with facilities is Hanging Rock State Park, though their gates don't open till 8am and race start is 7am. The course looks great, we've got Christine and crew going out to pre-run it, as she is gearing up for a 24 hour race in June.

We haven't had an update in a while, but the work has continued on the race! We are up to 11 confirmed teams, more than we had last year, with a few weeks left to go. We want to announce that the guys at Madathlete.com are also now in on this race!
We have some updates we want to get out there:
Race start/finish will be at a soon to be disclosed location. There will be free camping at this location

The race start will be at 7am, the maps will be given out slightly before the race start, at the pre-race meeting
There will be hills, there will be many. There is a neat nav option we are planning that will let you choose how many hills you want

With only two days left for early registration, the people at Feetures have really hooked the racers up. They are giving the first 45 racers to sign up a free pair of their bamboo-wool performance socks! Sign up soon to make sure you get a pair!

Teams are starting to roll in, this years race looks to be fielding a few more teams than last year. Again this year we are having Great Outdoors Provision Company work with us for the prize packages. If you are in NC, these guys are great, know a lot about our sport and really carry some good gear.
The start/finish will be at a campground, group camping is available at $5 a head.

About the region

The IsoSeries is taking place in the Dan River Valley. This region, right outside of the Blue Ridge Parkway is known for it's hilly terrain, creek filled waterfalls and spectacular hiking views.
