This website represents a theoretical vision of a future library with a focus on diversity. This vision includes collections, as well as, resources that propel learning in students. This website explores some of the possibilites that may be in the future for libraries, especially in the area of diversity. No one knows what changes will come about in the future. However, it has been stated by Edmondson in 1998 that "by the year 2050, ethnic and racial minorities may achieve a population majority in the United States." It makes good sense to this author to embrace this diversity in all its manifestations.

The Diversity Library simply looks at possible scenarios based on the literature in the information science field.
