Tailgating 101

No football game is complete without a tailgate, especially the Superbowl. In order to prepare for the game, you have to stock up on all types of different gear. So, head out to Walmart and get ready to load up your SUV with Burgers, Beer and Snacks.

Burgers and Buns Let's get down to basics, food. Depending on how many people you're with, you're going to need a lot. Hot Dogs, Burgers, Brats, even Steaks are all an essential part to the tailgate. Make sure you have a mini-grill on hand with plenty of charcoal so you can keep the good stuff comming.

DrinksWarm or Cold, drinks are one of the largest and most important parts of any tailgate. Beer is more often than not the most common, especially on college campuses but make sure to have assortments of soda and hot chocolate on tap for the kiddies.

Snacks Nobody wants to be that guy who forgot the chips. Make sure to bring plenty, and if you have tortillas, DONT FORGET THE SALSA. In addition, pasta salad works, baked beans, coleslaw and maybe cookies. Basic rule: keep it simple, theres no need to go all out on simple food-stuffs.

EquipmentAs mentioned before, the grill is vital. Tailgating out of a large car or truck is perfered, but sometimes you have to work with what you've got. Make sure that you stereo equipment is working so that everyone will be pumped up for the game. Also, have plenty of coolers for drinks and storing leftovers. Lounge chairs are cool too. Most importantly, you're at a football game, so, BRING A FOOTBALL!!! Bringing stuff to do is fun and will keep everyone entertained for hours.
