General Information

This course is a continuation of PHY 741 (Quantum Mechanics I) at the graduate level. There are two text books chosen from the series of texts written by Dr. Walter Greiner and published by Springer-Verlag:

  • Quantum Mechanics -- Special Chapters (SCQM)
  • Relativistic Quantum Mechanics -- Wave Equations (2nd. edition) (RQM)

The first few lectures will use your text from PHY 741 -- Quantum Mechanics by Cohen-Tannoudji, Diu, and Laloe, Volume II ( CT).


It is likely that your grade for the course will depend upon the following factors:

*In general, there will a new assignment after each lecture, so that for optimal learning, it would be best to complete each assignment before the the next scheduled lecture. According to the honor system, all work submitted for grading purposes should represent the student's own best efforts.
