Back in about 1991, I spent a summer in Oregon. I brought some
old travel brochures back from my trip. I always thought it would
be neat to draw or paint some of those pictures. Well, on November 19, we
had a freak snow. Inspired by the weather, I decided to draw a snow
capped mountain. After looking at some Ansel Adams photos, I was very
discouraged -- they have so much detail. But, one of my Oregon pictures
of Mount Hood seemed just about right.
