Life Career Planning Groups

These groups consist of four, one hour sessions that will guide you through the steps of career exploration. Prior to the first group meeting you will take the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and the Campbell Interest and Skills Inventory.

Each of the four sessions will focus on one or more aspects of the VIPS model for career exploration. These are:

• Values: Your personal values are important to who you are and what activities are important to you. Guided exercises and discussion will help you explore your values as they pertain to career opportunities.

• Interests: Interpretation of the Campbell Interest and Skills Survey will guide discussion of your career interests.

• Personality: Interpretation of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator will help illuminate the role of personality in career happiness and success.

• Skills: Interpretation of the Campbell Interest and Skills Survey will guide discussion of your skills as they pertain to career exploration.

These groups are intended for sophomores through seniors who are seeking insight into their choice of academic major or career opportunities upon graduation. If you are interested in joining an upcoming group call Pat Slaughter at 759-5274 for details.
