Volume 210-247's female lead 輕烟 (light smoke) 's story seems to have some plot lines come straight from 金庸 (Mr. Jin Yong)'s 武俠小說 (wuxia/martial art novels).
Volume 220-227's title 問世間情是何物 (What is love?) is straight from 神雕俠侶 (Return of the Condor Heroes, The Legend of Condor Heroes (anime) etc.). There is a scene the girl sew back her lover's 横宇一夫 (only person across the univers) coat during battle, which is almost the same as 小龍女 (little dragon girl/Xiaolongnu) did to 楊過(Yang Guo).
The ending that she use disguise to try to save 九死邪帝 (nine death evil king) is almost directly off 天龍八部 (Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils) part on 阿朱 (A Zhu) die for 喬峰 (Qiao Feng).
It ended abrupty in volume 247. Volume 248 is a completely different story set back in U.S.
