It is not ease to decide to skip the whole of chapter 1 of Capital I. It
seems to me that the main problem for beginners in this chapter is in
sections 3 (form of value) and 4 (fetishism), but sections 1 and 2 are
essential because there are the definitions of the commodity, use value,
exchange value, value itself, SNLT, and of concrete and abstract labour
and their correspondence to use value and value. Section 3 can be
presented in a summarized way in order just to show the development of
money along the development of the market, which is also essential for the
understanding of what comes in the sequence.
