I was writing in shorthand in my previous post. As all will recall, each
of the threads gravitated in a number of different directions and touched
on other questions.

The context, for the most part, that we discussed constant fixed capital
was in terms of the valuation of constant capital and moral depreciation.
As we also all recall, that thread was intertwined with the
transformation thread which itself touched on other issues such as the
Okishio Theorem.

However individuals want to present summaries, that's fine. I do think,
though, that it would be a good exercise for us to attempt to draw
conclusions and clearly state positions. By no means does this require
that the discussion of those threads cease. Even if we decide to go on to
other topics shortly, there is nothing that prevents us from re-opening
these subjects at a later date. In fact, given the importance that many
attach to those subjects, I believe that we will most certainly address
these issues again.
