In a reply to Fred, Chai-on said (amongst much else):

If the money is not a commodity, the exchange is not
an exchange but an expropriation

Michael W.:

Why? I exchange my commodity for paper. electronic, or whatever money, which I
can then hoard until I want to use it, when I can, other things being
equal, exchange it for a commodity of equal value to that which I first gave in
exchange for the money.

Comradely greetings
