I welcome your initiative to introduce the topic on reconsideration of
socialism more explicitly. On the socialist economic calculation dabate and
other related problems in your recent OPE-L mails, did you read my book
Political Economy for Socialism (Macmillan, and St.Martin's, 1995), which
challenged the issues at least to certain extent.
One of points I presented in the book is that there was so little
theoretical attempts to relate the long standing value controversy with the
socialist economic calculation debate. This theoretical possibility should
be underlined here, especially as you initiated the debate exactly as an
extention of the discussion on the Marxian value theory in OPE-L.
