Good

• 3200x1800 (QHD+) or FHD 400 nits 1000:1 72% color gamut (Sharp?) (Corning Gorilla Glass NBT for touch) display (no 4K, no AG for QHD, only FHD)
• i7-7660 available (higher turbo, lower base frequency, bigger number not necessary faster than other i7-7xxx, it is variant with compromises), currently only i7-7560 can be ordered.
• 5 segement battery LED indicator
• bigger battery than last year model (56 -> 60 Wh)
• rose gold color option (extra $$) (haven't seen one in person yet)
• carbon fiber palmrest (outdone by Microsoft Surface Laptop Italian Alcantara fabric, haven't seen one yet)
• CNC aluminum top (some people reported allergic to CFRC/GFRP (Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Plastic + Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic) material)
• almost clean load - except Dropbox 20 GB (trial? free for 1 year for new user), McAfee LifeSafe 12-month (at least not trial), Office 30 days trial, several store apps (Sling TV, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Fallout Shelter, Facebook, Twitter, March of Empires, Asphalt 8: Airborne, Neftlix, and Microsoft's own Minecraft: Windows 10 Editiion, Solitaire, Skype Preview, Get Office etc. (download on first connect to internet) etc.)

Bad

• coil whine problem like last year 9350 (no fix for that?). supposedly engineers "fixed" it with better capacitor(s) to a less loud level that is "by design" for A02 system board (you have to call to get it replaced, they are not recalling it) when it announced to developer edition forum. Adobe Audtion spectrum and frequency analsis graphs from Samung Note 5 recording. Normalized spectrum

• as good as it is, one of the best ultrabook, still a clamshell (even with optional touchscreen) form factor which may be good enough for business, it is not a convertible, not because of tablet/tent mode, but more importantly with stylus/pen, which opens up all kind of potential for education market
• same old keyboard layout as 9350, not new one like 9365 - no new PgUp, PgDn keys, Home/End took over RrtSc/Ins which move to F11/F12
• maximum 16GB (normal for SoC, non C2xx chipset. only C2xx workstations usually support 32/64GB) LPDDR3 RAM, not DDR4
• spec page said PCIe only 8Gb/s, cannot use M.2 NVMe 4x 32Gbps speed?
• disappointing Toshiba PCIe NVMe SSD performance vs current gen Samsung (can be less than half (depends on benchmarks) vs. PM961? in X1C5, T470s, Yoga 910)? b/c x1, not x4?
• webcam not Windows Hello compatible biometric (optional fingerprint is?)
• Noble lock instead of more common Kesington
• no HDMI port
• no (mini)-RJ45 Ethernet port
• camera still beneath display (9365 at least you can flip it around in tent mode)
• some keys half width
• screen does not lay flat
• no physical trackpad buttons
• no WiGig 18265 option (much more compatible with APs Intel 8265 or Rivet Killer 1535 2x2 BT 4.1 [not 4.2?] (Qualcomm) that you need to avoid)
• no NFC?
• out of the box from 2017/05/04 images still Windows 10 version 14393, not Creators Update version 1703 build 15063.296 pre-loaded?
• fan gets loud some times - e.g. first batch of Windows Update
• no message in splash how to get to F12 boot menu (and to bios)
• developer edition with ubuntu 16.04 LTS ad webpage disappeared? http://www.dell.com/XPS/Developer need to navigator from developer page http://www.dell.com/developers instead. no longer automatically ship with Intel 8265 wireless instead of killer 1535 wireless like 6th gen 9350 developer edition ubuntu 14 LTS with intel 8260 wireless instead of dell (broadcom) wireless 1820A
• Thunderbolt is old version 1575 (aka 2C 2015) vs. 9365's 15D9 (aka C-level 2C 2016). sounds like 9360 just have the Kaby Lake dropped into a 9350 or even 9343 6th/5th gen old board, that's why old BIOS/keyboard vs. 9365 new one. NVM firmware versions also confusing. newer one has lower number. no external GPU (eGPU) support also
  
• under the bottom regulatory cover, a new line of chinese warning about 使用过度恐伤害视力 roughly translate to something like "excessive usage may harm your eyesight", it is not in english and not in 9350. also in 9365.
• may have bluetooth connectivity issue, won't stay connected, according to havard user
• crystaldiskinfo cannot see drive (same as 9350) under "RAID" (hybrid, intel RST. Dell never said why use that mode, doesn't seem to have any benefit at all, nothing but trouble) bios setting SSD-Z (it can see hidden partition in begining and overprovision at end though), Naraeon SSD Tools, smartmontool can't see S.M.A.R.T. either. (EZFIO can) if you use the old trick (works on previous model)
