[OPE-L:7301] Re: Quality adjustments for CPI: an important question for many people and for classical economics]

This is a very nice post. Any sort of quality adjustment is subjective.
The people selected for the Boskin Commission were already committed to
lowering the CPI. There are serious debates about the appropriate quality
adjustments for computers among the economists who specialize in that
field. Robert Gordon is most vocal in saying that the adjustments are
biased.
