So ? Looks like I'll have to do some work on it myself. Actually, in the
transitional-type societies like Eastern Europe and the USSR used to be,
the value-form (I would say, following the classical Marxist approach, the
law of value) did not dominate either economic allocation nor the social
conditioning of human nature. But that nevertheless did not make many
aspects of social relations in those countries desirable from a human(ist)
point of view. So the problem is more complex, involving not just economics
but also politics and culture, not just economic structure or the state but
also civil society.
