I don't think we can jump to conclusions about this, based only on a priori statistical principles. Organic composition is the ratio of two random variables, c and v, but since they are surely not independently distributed that doesn't get us very far. I'd say that empirical distributions of organic comp look "gamma-ish" (skewed bell curve), except that there's a little outlying bulge of industries with very high o.c., that shouldn't be there according to the gamma law.
