An article, recently put online, by W.B. Bland:

"Marx and the theory of the absolute impoverishment
of the working class under capitalism"

http://website.lineone.net/~comleague/intercom/impov.html

Bland is associated with the Communist League (UK) which
is composed of followers of Enver Hoxfa. The article attempts
to trace the doctrine of the 'theory of absolute impoverishment'
to 'Revisionism', especially the writings of Eduard Bernstein.
It maintains furthermore that the theory of absolute
impoverishment of the working class was a "revisionist plot to
discredit Marx and Marxism". The attempt to trace the concept to
Bernstein is interesting from a history of thought perspective
-- the assertion that it has been a "plot" by revisionists is less
than convincing, IMHO.

In solidarity, Jerry
