Rakesh, You are asking some pretty heavy questions that involve a lot to answer. I'm hoping to have a better sense of details like that before I write a paper for May. (Right now, I'm way behind in a paper for the February Globalisation conference in Havana.) Suffice it to say, though, that I think that the actual transformation of the economy hasn't gone very far yet, that the opposition has played a major role in advancing this process and that a revolutionary mass has been created. There's more to say, but some other time--- maybe after I've returned to Caracas in a few weeks. Sorry.
