For factories to be movable abroad where the rate of exploitation is
higher, mass industrial labor had to have been simplified through the
Babbage principle, no? Doesn't the movement of mental laboring
activities, e.g. writing code, assume the application of the Babbage
principle to mental operations (investigated by William Ashworth as
pointed out to me by Michael Perelman)? How does Harry Braverman's
work fit into this discussion? In raising this question, I am not
accepting Gleicher's theory of the ontology of abstract labor; while
showing how abstract labor becomes a practical activity through the
reorganization of the labor process through the Babbage principle,
Gleicher does not seem to explain why it is that value has to take
the money form.
