Jerry, Let me take this opportunity to state that I am a classical liberal with respect to the clash of ideas. I take a Popperian view that it is advantageous to have a multitude of competing ideas that are freely and fairly discussed. I am using "anti-Marxist" and "anti-science" in an attempt at scholary accuracy; nothing more, nothing less. I will be interested in arguments against my characterization of the text. I am not interested in arguments that such labels should not be used in scientific discourse, for whatever reason. I will say what I think. It is a matter of fact whether or not the text is "anti-Marxist". Rational individuals should be able to debate, and iterate towards agreement on this matter of fact. I am more than prepared to change my mind, in the light of counter-arguments. Best wishes, -Ian.
