Hi Dave Z: I would emphasize a missing word: money is a *necessary* form of appearance of exchange-value, value, surplus value, and profit (and it represents a necessary moment in the transformation of surplus-value into capital). The point here is that money insinuates itself into every aspect of social relations among economic agents. It is not simply a matter of obscuring social relations; it is a matter of how social relations come in part to be expressed through money. On the basis of what has been said, though, it's hard to tell whether we agree or disagree on matters of theoretical substance or simply emphasis. In solidarity, Jerry
