How dark is the economic horizon?
Sept. 29: New York Times columnist Paul Krugman discusses how the failure of the bailout bill and Monday's great economic meltdown will affect Americans and their money.

He [like the leaders of both bourgeois parties] doesn't seem to have much in the way of proposals
(or explanations for the crisis), does he? It also sounds to me like Krugman himself is on the verge of
panic: his only consoling advice is to say that if you have federally insured (FDIC or FSLIC) accounts,
not to worry. But, if you hold stocks, well .... And he's not exactly sounding confident about the prospects
for the macroeconomy.
In solidarity, Jerry
