I think a better and clearer (and freer of jargon) set of
regional proposals is to be found in the Miranda International Centre
(CIM)- sponsored conference's seven (7) recommendations,
which I sent to the list earlier today. [NB: I have reservations,
though, about the wisdom of the 'one country, one vote' decision-
making system of Bancosur ....]

Ecuador's economic policy minister, Pedro Pez, explained well what
the goal should be:

"reclaim the leading role that has been kidnapped by the centres of
political and economic power ... the capitalist system is not the
only option".
