Dear Jerry,

I notice that my article on Boffy Blog on the Tendency of the Rate of Profit to Rise (from the brief scan I have done some of your contributors seem to have me arguing to Fall) appears to have caused some academic discussion. I have only briefly read the discussion as they are not easy to read on screen without copying them to a better viewer, but I think the objections are fairly easily dealt with on either count - either of Marx's argument about the falling Rate of Profit or my argument concerning changes in the productive forces that currently result in a Tendency for the Rate of Profit to Rise. In part that arises from the confusion on the part of non-Marxist economists in relation to the nature of Profit.

If you and your contributors would care to submit your arguments to Boffy Blog as Comments, I would be more than happy to respond to them.

Arthur Bough
