Hi Paula:
The crackers had labor time expended in their creation, but they are now
in garbage cans and landfills. They have _no_ value _because_ they have _no_
use-value - that's what I'm getting at. It's an example of what is wrong with
your simple equation: 1 coat would be worth more than all of the peanut
butter crackers manufactured by the PCA in that entire time period, perhaps
tens of millions of crackers and other peanut butter products, because
the coat has value and the crackers don't. It becomes a meaningless equation
precisely because this reckoning can _not_, except by assumption, be made
entirely independently of users' needs.
