Hi Dave Z:
Well, obviously, any society will have limited labor and material resources
and
there will have to be social decisions made about their allocation. This
will
involve, in part, computations. That was never in doubt. How those social
decisions will be made and according to what principles and with what
consequences was what was up for discussion. The idea that value-form
theorists simply "wish away" issues associated with socialism is simply
a mis-reading of their perspectives.
