Those are well worth reading, Jurriaan (in fact, I've assigned the Nove book
before in a class I teach on comparative economic systems) but they are not
exactly books that are 'sound introductions to economics'.
 
I also think, Roy, that there are a few sound - and more contemporary -
introductions to economics than Adam Smith's _Wealth of
Nations_.
