Chai-on and Alejandro R have highlighted the "form" in "transformation."

The English word "transformation" (as in the title of V1, Ch 24:
"The Transformation of Surplus-Value into Capital") is a translation
of "Verwandlung".

Yet, "verwandlung" can be translated as: alteration, change,
modification, conversion, transformation, matamorphosis,
transsubstantiation, etc.. These seem to convery somewhat different
meanings.

Hans (or anyone else): what are we to make out of the translation of
"verwandlung" into "transformation"?

BTW (out of curiosity), I checked the English translations for Hegel's
_Logic_ and _Science of Logic_ and couldn't (after a very brief review)
find the word "transformation."

In solidarity,

Jerry
