RE: Copy of: [OPE-L:3716] Re: transFORMation

My partner, who is German, bilingual and something of a Marx & Hegel scholar
said the following in response to my question 'How would you translate
'vervandlung', as used by Hegel and Marx?':- 'There must be something better
than "change", ... perhaps "change into ...".' When I suggested
'transformation', she said "There is a German word "transformation", so why not
use that if that is what they meant?' She then suggested I ring Chris Arthur,
and rolled over and went to sleep. I might just do that.
