My PhD dissertation,
from 1992, is about the notion of money. The theoretical approach is Marx
considerations about money and the perspective I read Marx is the dialectic
one. In this work I intended to demonstrate that money is a contradictory
thing and that is because of this that the conventional economic science,
based on formal or axiomatic logic, faces many difficulties do deal with
it. I linked this contradictory nature of money to the three
determinations of it that Marx describes in the Grundrisse. Now I too
work in the field of Economics Methodology and I have some papers
published here in Brazil and one that is going to be published in a
French journal. My interests now are the questions linked to the loss
of the importance of the work in the creation of the material wealth and
the implications of it to Marx's theory of value. The last paper I wrote
about these general questions was about the current transformation of the
role of the work in the material process of production. <snip>
