OVERALL, April was *v-e-r-y* slow. The participation rate also declined
from March.

(Once again) there were problems with the (galaxy) server that affected
the volume and timing of postings.

We added 3 new members in April -- the most per month in a very long
time (approximately a year).

As we enter May -- *** happy May Day everyone !!! *** -- we should
strive to find new topics to discuss and increase the quantity of
discussion and participation levels. Please remember that May is the
last month before the beginning of the summer for most members, so if
you want to begin a thread, the best time to act is ... soon.

In solidarity, Jerry
