OVERALL, March was *slow*. Participation was somewhat better than recent
months but volume was down. Part of the reason for the downturn was
that the "galaxy" server was processing requests very slowly and also
off-line during a large chunk of the month. Still worse, some posts were
apparently "lost in space", i.e. sent but never posted.
There were no members added this month, but our ranks diminished when
Mike Williams resigned. Mike has played an important and positive
role in many list discussions and his sharp insight, good humor, and
comradeship will be sorely missed.
