WFU Quad - WFU - 2006 - Photo by Paul S. Marley

As an Imaging Specialist it is only logical that my projects are image/photo oriented.

I was the Project Manager for the implementation of the MDID Image Data Base that is Administered by Martine Sherrill in the Art Department's Visual Resources Library. The Madison Digital Image Database is an online image database and multimedia instructional system designed to create and show Internet-based lectures using digitized images. The system permits instructors to remotely generate "slideshows", which can be annotated, placed online for student study, or archived for testing or future use.

I participated in the project to remake the Wake Forest College web site. I was the esthetic consultant and designer. I created the header/ footer designs and the general "look and feel" of the site. The "look and feel" and the header/ footer template are reflected in this site. The College site is HERE.

One of my ongoing projects is teaching a class called Imaging for Publication. This one hour seminar gives essential information about preparing image files for use in various kinds of publications. This information is designed for the use of Faculty who are working on book or periodical projects and need to insure their image files are print ready. I decided this was a worthwhile project after assisting professors in my department with their publishing efforts (David Lubin, David Faber and Harry Titus, etc...) Download the Power Point presentation.

Another ongoing project is teaching classes in Photoshop to Faculty and Staff. Over the years I have offered numerous classes for various skill levels. See some of the materials HERE.
