Research Assistants
|
Research assistants are provided a unique opportunity to contribute new knowledge to the field of psychology while learning about new methods, findings, and theories in experimental psychology. RA activities include researching various methods and topics, generating hypotheses, designing studies, creating experimental stimuli, running experiments, entering and analyzing data, writing up experimental methods, and engaging in group discussions about theories and findings. RAs who continue to work in the lab over multiple semesters may develop and run their own experiments in collaboration with Dr. Masicampo. To gain the most from their experience in the lab, students are highly encouraged to start working in the lab early on in their undergraduate careers.
Students may work in the lab on a volunteer basis or they may apply to earn Directed Study (PSY 280) credits. For details about earning Directed Study credits, refer to the Psychology Department website.
To apply, email a completed RA application to MasicampoLab@gmail.com.
