German 215: German and Slavic Literature (3h)

Summer Abroad Course

In this course we will read selected works of German and Slavic literature. In these works we will examine the theme of crime, criminals, and punishment in works by Goethe, Schiller, Zamyatin, Bulgakov, Kafka, Gogol, and of course Dostoevsky. Readings, lectures, and discussion will be supplemented by a group excursion to Prague, Czech Republic
