I just got off the phone with Jerry. He sounded fairly upbeat given the
circumstances, and as John mentioned hopes to go home tomorrow. He asked me
to thank on his behalf the several ope-l comrades who expressed concern, and
said he would be back on line--but at a healthily slower pace--in a few
days. Gil
